  Global Stevia Institute’s Scientific Symposium at the 12th European Nutrition Conference, October 20th, 2015 The GSI symposium titled, “Can stevia really make a difference? Understanding processing, safety and benefits of a new type of sweet,” featured presentations by Dr. Ursula Wolwer-Rieck a stevia expert and researcher from the University of Bonn, Dr. Bernadine Magnuson of Health Science Consultants, a well-known toxicologist and Dr. Margaret Ashwell , Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow of the Cass Business School, City University London, an expert on sweeteners and nutrition, as well as, an introduction to the session that included an overview about GSI and a summary at the end by the chair of the session Dr. Priscilla Samuel, Director of the Global Stevia Institute.
